Technical English WritingThe learners are expected to learn technology English from different topics each week. The learners will have to learn basic sentences structures, topic vocabulary, and related background knowledge to assist studetns with multi-purposes of technology use in 21 century.
Medical EnglishThis course provides an introduction to the medical industry. Students in this course are expected to learn medical related knowledge, culture, and professional terms. Students join the discussion in the class, and practice how to communicate with others when they encounter different situations in the medical industry.
Project ManagementThis course is designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of student project management. This course contains practical experience in theory, methodology and project management. After completing this course, students can apply project management framework to enhance project management skills.
Research MethodsBy the end of the course, you should be able to a) conduct an academic research on a topic, b) present your academic research and argument, c) cite your sources correctly, and d) avoid plagiarism in any way.
Hotel and Restaurant EnglishThis course provides an approach to the tourism and hospitality industry. Students in this course are expected to learn catering and tourism English, catering and tourism culture, and professional terms. Students join the discussion in the class. Two major assignments are required: (1) pair-grouping is necessary in each class for students to practice conversations, and (2) students are required to design and construct conversations composed of multiple situations about tourism and hospitality issues, and to demonstrate them by role-playing.
Journalistic EnglishThis course aims to introduce journalistic English to English majored students. Through teaching, students will learn journalistic vocabularies and phrases. Learn to use integrated skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing English, and develop students' critical and creative thinking abilities. The teaching methods used in this class will be lectures and group discussions, students are encouraged to express their opinions when class is in session.
American CultureThe purpose of this course is to get the students familiar with American culture. The students will learn about American etiquette, culture, food, language, dialect, education system, business and social customs. The course will also introduce the most popular American holidays and festivals to the students. The students will particularly be encouraged to think and discuss their personal opinions about American culture.

Nursing EnglishThe course is to provide students with commonly used medical vocabulary or pharases. It starts with hospital department and hospital staff. It covers from all kinds of common diseases and injuries so as to equip students with proper medical knowledge.

European CultureThis is a survey course touching on many aspects of European cultures (history, arts, cooking, etc.) which is aimed at increasing students’ familiarity with and interest in the most significant European contributions to world civilization, in the spirit of humanity and cultural dialogue. Readings, class discussion and student presentations will support the development of a critical understanding of these aspects.
English Writing for MICEThis course introduces the knowledge and English related to the MICE industry. Through reading and writing proposals in the MICE industry, this course hopes to enable students to write in English professionally and proficiently at international events, including meetings, conventions, and exhibitions.
